Primary Oncorhynchus clarki henshawi / clarki humboldtensis AKA Lahontan Cutthroat Trout and Humboldt Cutthroat Trout

While these trout may generally fall into the classification of identifiable strains of trout—even here there are a few trout that “tilt” toward a mixture of strains or characteristics. These pics generally represent fairly common trout an angler would find in ***** Creek.

Oncorhynchus clarki alvordensis phenotype

Embedded below are a few photos of a lightly pigmented but phenotypical Alvord cutthroat trout caught and released a few weeks before ODFW’s sampling project of late July 2010.
