Many would conclude that the desert is a desolate barren wasteland — an ugly expanse of death and dying for its unfortunate inhabitants.  Though it is true that the desert hosts an environment of harsh extremes; it is also true that the desert hosts incredible beauty and abundant life for its resilient residents.


It is our hope that the photos embedded below will yield, if only a glimpse, a view of the life and rugged beauty that the Northern Great Basin and Range provides as its verdant home:
