Native Trout Fly Fishing
The recognition and interest in these trout began with an article Toward Definitiveness published in Trout Magazine (Trout Unlimited publication) Winter 2007.  A team of ODFW biologists had invited Dr. Behnke to participate in some electroshocking and trout identification projects in Oregon during the summer of 2006,   including ***** Creek; of which Dr. Behnke asserts that, at the very least, the Alvord phenotype is present in ***** Creek and that it would be a noteworthy project to protect, preserve and restore this remnant alvordensis population.
